In her latest CD, Meghan attempts to capture some of the magic of her live show on CD. "The Lost Ones - Songs and Stories" is just that - a compilation of songs and the stories that bring them to life on stage, recorded in the studio in one take with simple guitar/vocal arrangements. This CD is the first in a series of "fan CD''s" to be recorded in this "songs and stories" format.
"The Lost Ones" takes a trip down memory lane and resurrects songs that were fan favorites in the past but have somehow slipped through the cracks of the 40 minute set format. These are songs that were (almost) lost along the way.
Here''s what Meghan has to say about her latest offering:
"The thing is that I recorded this CD for you guys - the folks who have been listening since way back. Its an EP of songs that were ''lost along the way''...the ones I stopped playing over the years for one reason or another. I pulled them out and brushed them off and recorded them along with the stories that always introduced them.
It includes the entire Texan Trilogy ("Thursdays", "Waiting", I Gotta Go"), The song I wrote for Deb and Adrian''s wedding (which I know a lot of you never heard even once!), the fun (if perhaps politically incorrect) "Baby Got Back", and a handful of others. I call it "The Lost Ones - Songs and Stories".
This is the first in what I hope will be a series of short CD''s recorded just for you guys. My first "thank you" to you for being the spirit behind the music since the beginning. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it."
