"Area 52" is a continuation of the oddball, semi-industrial musical style that Santus Gore has perfected with his previous electronic albums "Sentience and "Evolution". A relative newcomer to the electronic music scene, his musical roots go back to the early 1970''s. His foray into electronic music came later in life, and after some experimentation he finally developed his own unique sound.
" A lot of people spend too much time trying to make your work fit into a well-defined box. I tried to collaborate with some independent film makers after I released "Evolution", and they told me that my music was too "eclectic", and that it didn''t fit the mold of what electronic music was "supposed" to sound like - whatever that is! I''ve even had people tell me that my songs would make great background music for a bad acid trip !!!"
Whatever your opinion is of Santus'' music, be assured that he''s created another musical mind journey for you, and it all revolves around alien technology and the Area 51 legends. "I really wanted to play around a little with the whole Area 51 concept" he says. "I''ve always thought that there was some great material there, and that maybe Area 51 was just the "cover-up" showpiece, and that there had to be somewhere else that the "real" testing of alien technology would take place, out of public scrutiny."
