Born in upstate New York and raised in New Mexico, Fuller started playing guitar at the age of ten. ''It was a huge nylon string guitar that was bigger than I was.'' At fourteen, he discovered he could sing. But it wasn''t until much later that he attempted to write his own lyrics. During those early creatively formative years, Fuller surrounded himself with the music of Cat Stevens, John Denver, Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, James Taylor, Little Feat, Bruce Cockburn and Elvis Costello.
