MP3 Milo Cuesta - Sound Travels Slowly

Sweet acoustic melodies, with an obscure passion for psychedelic simplicity; 4 track style.

9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Acoustic, POP: Beatles-pop

Details:
Milo Cuesta began in a town known as Upland, in the southern "Inland Empire" region of the state of California. He established an early history in psychedelic garage bands like The Blueberry Lampshade, Portable Satan, 3 Days of Zen, and Bitchin'' Ichabod''s Itchin'' Genitals and the Cobalt Blue Spunky Chickenmeister Ogre-eatin'' Lager Band O'' Plenty (a.k.a. Ick & the Chicks). These projects included famed musicians Scott Alexander, William Taylor and Wesley Copple, among others, who performed in empty parks, abandoned houses and boxcars, raucous parties and busy intersections everywhere, honing classic originals like "Aliens for Breakfast," "Raspberry Aardvark," and "Yellow (Psychedelic Yogurt)," while grinding their teeth on obscure Roky Erickson, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix covers.

Later, rather than sooner, Milo paired up with Jacob Brandt, forming the somber acoustic coffee house minstrel duo of Ferment. After performing at one too many bachelorette parties, Ferment disbanded. Milo along with Justin Tessier, Adam Valdez, & Anthony Verdugo, formed The Bent Back Tulips, a Beatles cover band, who pounded perfectly detailed recreations of the Fab Four''s catalog to a never-ending stream of drunken patrons across SoCal''s bars begging for "Sweet Home Alabama". At their apex, they competed in the battle of the bands at Beatlefest... it doesn''t really matter if they won or not, now does it?

After moving to Washington state, he rejoined Jacob Brandt, and drummer Curtis Taylor of Below Zero to form the hard rockin'' Lone Tree. This solo cd contains songs written and recorded by Milo in a one take, stripped down, demo style. Mostly acoustic guitars, with a little piano & electric guitar, the sweet melodies and catchy songwriting reflect the influence of those classic "6B''s" (Beatles, Bob, Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Byrds, Badfinger, Big Star). Please stay tuned for further future releases and farther past re-releases.
