The best bio is one written by someone else. Here is a review of our CD from the https://www.tradebit.com site...

"I remember the type. They hated the radio. They swore by Dischord and SubPop Records. They detest MTV and arena tours. They despised major labels. They wanted to lynch Offspring when they joined the corporate world and left fledgling Epitaph in the dust. These were the indie-diehards, the elitest, the integrity pushers. Well, their message was by and large ignored and music has probably suffered because they wouldn''t listen. Amazing bands tried to hop on the jumbo label bandwagon in the late 90''s(read: Jawbreaker, Failure, Sunny Day Real Estate) and ended in disaster. Alas there are some unique breeds of artists that can please all no matter the dotted line they sign. The Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, and Built to Spill gained mass acceptance reguardless of who put out the record. MindLikeWater is just such a band, with independent credibility and certain mass appeal.

MindLikeWater is the brainchild of 5 entirely different minds whose influences differ immensely. They go from art/indie rock(Radiohead, Hot Water Music) to metal(Dillinger Escape Plan, Slayer) to electronica(Underworld, NIN, Vast). MindLikeWater strive to produce in your face and emotional modern rock that streches the boundries without compromising the music at all. Their motto is "...no https://www.tradebit.com limits...all rock" and it''s fitting. You cannot pick up any one influence on the album and it''s a definite genre bender. They could easily be a major label/MTV staple with their talent and catchy/edgy vibe. Like I said they teeter on the edge of pop-rock-metal. It''s a blend of powerful melodies, beautiful vocals, and punkish energy...almost epic at times.

The Florida natives second full length "Curving Toward the Sun" is a showcase for the 5 piece''s would be suitors. Thirteen tracks of post-alternative, ready to rock anthems. It''s a brisk album clocking in at 36 minutes, but extremely enjoyable from start to finish with at least 5 standouts. "False Angel" is an upbeat, likeable opener that would fit in nicely on any mainstream radio top 20 between Incubus and 30 Seconds to Mars, with it''s grinding guitars, melodious vocals and electronic undertones. "I Dream of Machinery" is a slightly industrial tinged track with a soft dream-like message, and completely addictive. The album really takes of on "Feeling From The Edge." It''s almost pure emo bliss with soft spoken words and a crashdown chorus, it''s stunning! The standouts are the closing two tracks, "Pulse" and "Lost Without You." These are just glorious, grand, and explosive. "Lost Without You" has an almost Kashmir style burst ala Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, and that''s when you know they have hit their mark. Indie...Emo...https://www.tradebit.comRock...call it what you want, label it however you like. It''s utterly amazing."
