He was also my recording engineer & co-producer for this song and for all of my other songs as well! He pops up on some of my other songs too as THE VOICE- doing the “shout-outs” on MATILDA ( full mix version on GET THE BEAT!) and summoning the ‘guitar’ before the final solo on the song & video of AT THE SWIMMING POOL.
This track also features the talents of harmonica virtuoso PETER MADCAT RUTH. He’s from my town, Ann Arbor, Michigan USA (also home of the University of Michigan- Go Blue!), and is considered by many, including me, to be a living legend & one of the best ever at his instrument. He also plays on the song GOIN’ FISHIN’ on GET THE BEAT! where he adds a bouncy jaw harp rhythm track as well. MADCAT is also a featured artist on my friend, Mr. Vegas Man’s CDs, appearing on the Jimmy Reed classics GONNA GET MY BABY on the IT’S A GREAT LIFE! & BABY WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO on WELCOME TO FABULOUS LAS VEGAS! He’s also a BIG part of Mr. Vegas Man’s new Christmas CD, HEY SANTA!
