Details:
KingKat combines elements of blues, rock and jazz, driven by David Stadig''s powerful guitar, to produce the sound that is described as "Blues With An Edge." From the pensive "Dreamin", with its'' fiery guitar solo, to the reworked guitar classics in the "60''s Medley" (Pipeline, Walk Don''t Run, Telstar, Star Trek and Mission:Impossible from TV), KingKat adds its'' own character, sound and initiative to create new aspects to their own music, and covers like Van Morrison''s jazzy "Moondance" and the AWB''s classic "Pick Up The Pieces". "House of Cards" has lush textures that create a daring soundscape while "Kat''s Out Of The Bag" and "Airline Blues" define the blues genre with broad strokes."KingKat" is a contemporary vocal tune that remains true to its'' roots. All of these songs are branded with David Stadig''s spirited and experienced guitar work, Bruce Carr''s smooth vocal and bass and Johnny K''s timely and rhythmic drumming.

David Stadig has been involved in music since age 7. At 12 he began playing in bands, and teaching the guitar at 14. He has been “playing the guitar longer than he hasn’t.” Dave holds a B.M. degree in Composition from Berklee College of Music and is a very prolific composer in a variety of musical genres. He says, “There’s no such thing as bad music, only music that isn’t played right.” David brings his writing, playing and vocal skills to KingKat and contributes greatly to the band’s unique character.

Bruce Carr is a bass player, singer and songwriter. He began playing professionally at the age of 12 and since has played with many musicians, known and unknown, in genres from country to jazz, in the recording studio and in venues large and small from Maine to California. David, John and Bruce have played together in numerous projects over a number of years and now, once again, in KingKat.

John K (Kloczkowski) began playing drums at the age of nine, started a professional career at 14 and has continued ever since playing with a host of nationally known artists throughout the U.S. He has studied at Berklee College of Music and is known as being a player with a keen sense of timing and musical dynamics. All of these attributes have accumulated from a vast amount of professional experience in a variety of musical styles.
John lends his expertise to KingKat as the consummate “band” player.
