Biography

Prisca Benita Born in Yaoundé, began writing songs at the age of four and playing guitar at the age of eighteen. All her family is involve in Gospel music. Prisca Benita often performed in African cultural events and churches all over Africa. She is great when it comes to Contemporary music, jazz, spiritual and African Gospel Music. She is a producer, songwriter, singer, guitarist, dancer and a creative artist. She is married.
Life and Career

During High School, Prisca Benita began street and events performing in Douala. She was a member of Alleluia International Music.
In 1998, she traveled to Bamako/Mali to attend the Faculty of Medicine of Bamako. She started performing as a Lead vocalist in Rehoboth Center, a church that believes in the amazing praise and worship of God. Without scholarship she struggled to self finance her studies because her family was going through financial crisis. Her mother Noutiji Elizabeth supported her in every step.
Multi-talented, she participated as a painter in a lot of contemporary African art shows in Africa. She received Awards and Honors from the Ministry of Culture of Mali in 2001, 2002 and 2004. She was also the owner of a small business of decoration, cleaning and others labors. She also performed as a backup singer for some great West African as well as Toumani Diabaté (She performed in Europe with his group), Vieux Farka Touré (son of Ali Farka Touré), Sekouba Bambino. That is how she got her financial independence.
Despite the fact that the Church didn’t understand her choices, she remained Faithful to The Gospel and to her Faith in Jesus Christ.
She finally graduated with Honor in 2007. Her compassion leads her to make another choice that is to continue with a degree in Public Health, for her goal is to use her talent and her ability to help a large population as well as Africa in Health policy and management, as an arm against poverty.
She recorded an album solo in 2003, but because of some issues with the production’s house and because of the fact that she wanted to continue with her school degree, that album will be out for the public only this year 2008. She is the Executive Producer. The Album’s name is “NGONF’O”.
She is now recording another album Solo with Koinonia production, based in Maryland.
