POP: Beatles-pop, ROCK: 60''s Rock

Details:
Rey has toured throughout Canada with various bands - was with Curtis Lee for many years.
Curtis is known for his work with Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Miles Davis, and Buddy Rich just to name a few. Rey and Curtis toured, recorded and maintained a close relationship. Rey branched out to perform with other bands - Survival, Stone Angel, Vampire Club, Psychodelics and Harvest. These bands played the clubs throughout Canada, especially in Ontario and Quebec. Rey had a knack to feel out diverse audiences. In so doing, he realized what moved the crowds - strong melodies, great hooks and tight rhythm grooves. Tired of playing cover tunes with cover bands, Rey wanted a chance to record and perform his own original music.

Rey recorded his first CD in 1994 to great reviews from the Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun and The Now magazine. The CD also got some airplay in Canada and the U.S.
Not one to stop writing - The second CD was born. Rey believed in this project. Armed with his guitar and 100 copies of the new CD, he got on a flight to L.A. even after the Sept 11/01 crisis to perform and promote the new product. On the flight some passengers were given the opportunity to sample the new CD, and after hearing it, bought it. Rey created a buzz at the L.A. music convention with his performance and style. Musicians from all over the world attended, sampled and bought the CD as well. With only one copy left he sold it to a passenger on the flight back to Toronto.

The success of the New CD speaks for itself: Starting off the party theme with the catchy melodic chorus and strong groove of W.W.G.I. (Whole World''s Gone Insane) to the Techno Mantra Chant of The Bum Song, where Rey got various languages to say "I Want Your Bum" in their native tongues - to the old school blues/funk of Casual Affair, a fun poke at street life, addictions and sexual urges - to the melodic straight edge comedy rock of "Smelly Fat Sow" featuring their children and friends on the choruses - to the strong Beatlesque finale of "Time Of The Year".

The second CD was recently sent off to Europe and Australia where DJs are willing to play it.
"Love All - Serve All - Be True To You"

Some folks have been caught comparing this eclectic CD to that of The Beatles White Album for its constant change in musical styles, and for not being mediocre and boring, but challenging the listeners and leaving them wanting more. If you don''t believe, just push play and judge for yourself. I know you will agree this is a positive and refreshing change.
