Damaged Goods is a collection of pop/rock tunes with a sound somewhere between where R.E.M. and the Beatles intersect. Most of the album was recorded in Nashville at Compass Studios. Mixed by Erick Jaskowiak in Nashville and mastered by two-time grammy award winner Gavin Lurssen. Four of the songs were recorded by David Winter and Thomas Delgado playing all the instruments at Kilby''s Railroad Trax. The other eight tunes we''re created in San Diego and Nashville with the exception of "The Last One" in which the drums were recorded (William Stuart McKenzie) in San Diego and then e-mailed to Tim Vellion in Napa where he laid the bass and three guitar tracks. Tim e-mailed the tracks back to me, we added one more acoustic guitar track (courtesy of Ray McKewon) and the vocals and keys were finished in Nashville. "Fold Out Girl", "Way to Go", and "Outta Space" were completely recorded at Compass Studios with the members of Nashville''s very own Whiskey Trippers (Thad Keim/John Cooper/William Stuart McKenzie). The final five songs were tracked in San Diego and vocals (and a sweet guitar part by Sam Farkas) sessions in Nashville completed the tunes. Additional vocalists included Warner Bros artist Jeremy Lister, and female vocals were done by Michelle Timmerman, Janny Hershey, Elizabeth Wright, and Kim McKewon.
