Daphne Denniston is a singer/songwriter currently based in San Diego, California. She has lived and traveled throughout most of North America, and much of the world, and her songs are the stories to prove it. Although her influences span many genres, from blues to rock to reggae to jazz, Daphne’s style generally falls under the category of alt-country/Americana.
Daphne has been described as a "sultry singer/songwriter with a voice and style that could be the lovechild of an acoustic Lucinda Williams and Bruce Springsteen, with more than a touch of Bob Dylan. While unlike the rest of the songs on the album, which are far more likely to evoke tears than laughter, "Psycho Magnet" has developed a cult following for it''s clever staccato lyrics and hilarious portrayal of the crazy people that we all know, and sometimes are.
