My earliest experience with music was playing the tambourine in my brother and cousins band I bugged them to let me do something. We practiced in the cellar. We were called the New Generation. As we got older we started up again without my brother just my cousins and I and went through about 8 drummers. We still practiced in the cellar but at my cousins house. Full PA as loud as we could playing ½ hard rock and metal covers and ½ original material. We were called Spectre. Mostly gigged in the upstate NY area. I entered a Christmas song contests and won one so I decided to become a songwriter. Moved to California and after auditions and sit in’s, I decided to just go it alone and focus on writing. Being a finish carpenter I was able to barter for studio time with Wayne Cook . Wayne was the keyboard player for a band called Player, (Baby Come Back). After putting in a full day’s work I would load up my gear and drive to Glendale through traffic. Then work on his studio for 5 or 6 hours and find the energy to record until 4 and 5 in the morning. Recording this cd was very challenging and required an effort that I really didn’t know I had. I became friends with Wayne during this process and he was kind enough to play Piano and B3 on this CD. I also had the pleasure of working with some really great musicians. Frank Briggs on drums Larry Tagg on bass. I completely get lost in the process of putting songs together. I could write songs all day long and would never get bored with it. I am currently working on the next CD.
