Rick Moore is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/ from the cotton country of West Tennessee. Growing up in Bolivar, TN (just east of Memphis), he was exposed at an early age to the likes of BB King, Freddie King, to his dad''s musical taste (Hank Williams and Fats Domino) and all the music that was made from Memphis to Muscle Shoals.

A guitar player since he was a youngster in the sixties, he grew up playing in local bands while working as a dj in high school. Howlin Wolf, Jimmy Reed and John Lee Hooker all served as influences through wlac in Nashville and a variety of Memphis stations. Carl Perkins was a hometown favorite.

While living in Memphis in the seventies and eighties he worked with blues great Don McMinn (Memphis Blues Revue), spent time with songwriter Kieth Sykes, and traveled the length of Mississippi with the Coon Elder Band playing the jukes before it was popular to do so.

Rick later worked with groups ranging from the Amazing Rhythm Aces to singer Mink (Willie) Deville with whom he toured Europe in 1983. He spent time in New York, Boulder, and Key West before arriving in Nashville in 1987 and joining the thriving R&B, Blues, and Rock and Roll scene.

Rick Moore & Mr Lucky toured throughout the 1990''s, honing the sound that is uniquely theirs. With this new release of Memphis blues and swampy rockers Rick Moore looks forward to Rockin'' into the 21st Century.
