A brief autobiography.
Our history is the story of eternal souls who forge their own way, ours, from the scorching desert until the trench of ice. Our music and lyrics are an attempt to understand the individual and social construction of reality, or realities, filtered through our own experiences. A cry to the universe, to those whom heard, our resistance to remain human, whatever that means, among of a society even more mechanical, more controlled.
The original alignment of the band was formed in Minneapolis, MN. in late 2003 by:

VORTICE, the band''s first album[2007], was born among "the war on terrorism" ironically practiced by an empire in decline, the resurgence of the hatred to the "outsiders", to the "immigrant", not only in our continent but throughout the world, the fear of change and our incapability to redefined ourselves individually and socially, political and cultural process that no one can stop, the extreme right wing in power in North America for almost a decade, the nascent "neo left" in Latin America and the South American Union, the economic Neo liberalism destroying families everywhere and becoming a victim of itself, censorship and control of the independent media and the constant bombardment of mainstream media seducing us to consume without measure, our Mother nature claiming the bill for everything we have done ,without rewarding it, the collapse of the facades of organized religion, our own individual processes, and our personal loss of our loved ones, bonds that break and others who join, the disaffection, and sometimes hate, that poisons. the imbalance.

Nuestra música y letras son un intento por comprender la construcción individual y social de la realidad, o realidades, filtradas a través de nuestras experiencias. Un grito al universo, a quien escuche, nuestra resistencia a permanecer humanos, sea lo que eso signifique, en medio de una sociedad cada vez mas mecánica, mas controlada.

VORTICE envuelve el desarrollo y gestación del mismo, nació en medio de "la guerra contra el terrorismo" irónicamente practicado por un imperio en decadencia, el resurgimiento del odio al de fuera, al inmigrante, no solo en nuestro continente sino en todo el mundo, el miedo al cambio y a el auto redefinirse, procesos sociales, políticos y culturales que no hay quien los pare, la ultra-derecha en el poder de norteamerica, la re naciente izquierda en América latina y la unión sudamericana, el Neo liberalismo destruyendo familias en todas partes y volviéndose victima de si mismo, la censura y control de los medios independientes y el constante bombardeo del mainstream media seduciendonos a consumir sin medida, nuestra madre naturaleza cobrándonos la factura por todo lo que le hemos hecho sin recompensar, el derrumbe de las fachadas de la religión organizada, nuestros propios procesos individuales, nuestras perdidas personales y de seres queridos, lazos que se rompen y otros que se unen, el desamor, y el odio que a veces nos envenena, el desequilibrio
