Ruff rebelione was born ibn brown in newark new jersey and then raised in one of the most feared projects in east orange (little city). It wasn''t long before he found an outlet to express the pain and the strife he was experiencing and also witnessing around him. Ruff, started rhyming at a very early age and quickly proved a force to be reckoned with. Like most young black males, ruff was seduced by the street life and took to them as a form of survival. Selling drugs and committing robberies seemed like the only way to escape the perils of the hood life. After serving a 5 year prison term for aggravated assault ruff had decided enough was enough, and started to take his god given gift more seriously. After being released from prison he immediately went into the studio determined never to return again. Ruff’s style of hip hop is an exotic blend of the street survival, political awareness, and that bare knuckle realism that so many artist lack.
