Director’s Note
We shot nearly 400 hours of footage for the movie, Nerdcore Rising and painstakingly boiled it down to 80 minutes. In order to make those 80 minutes feel more engaging than a yawn, more charming than a tax accountant, and more emotionally manipulative than your mother, we used 43 different song tracks. Herewith, we present you with only 14 of those. The 15th Hidden & Completely Visible Additional Extra Bonus Track With Questionable Audio Integrity isn’t even in the movie – but it did make it onto the cutting room floor.

Throughout the soundtrack you’ll hear a lot of rapping from a Mr. MC Frontalot. If you’d like to learn more about him, I suggest you see the movie, Nerdcore Rising. If you ever wondered why MC Frontalot’s music makes you want to gently (slash raucously) sway your hips, it’s because of the inimitable work of Gabriel Alter, Brandon Patton, and Sturgis Cunningham, among others. In fact, Alter and Patton also provided a couple of their solo songs for the movie. Amping the Nerdcore cred of the soundtrack is Doctor Popular (AKA Drown Radio) who used his top secret AmazingMusicTron3000 to provide us with original tunes. The duo Chessie isn’t Nerdcore, but they are Awesomecore so I decided that using them was appropriate when awesomeness was the desired effect. UNDERscore is the youngest of the bunch, using his 8bit sensibilities to remind us that gameboys still rule and that all human noises should be blippy. The title track and beloved anthem features extra rapping from Doc Pop, MC Lars and Wheelie Cyberman – their presence gives this soundtrack a very nerdy blessing which means it’s safe to eat if you’re trying to keep kosher. Though I am in no way encouraging you to eat this CD.

Thanks for listening to the soundtrack of this movie. I super-duper appreciate it in the biggest way. And that ain’t no lie.

Love,
Negin Farsad
