Details:
Jeff is an accomplished multi-talented musician who writes his own music, plays keyboard, guitar, and performs his own vocals, including his own harmony on many of his recordings.

Jeff was born in 1960 in Bloomington, Indiana where most of his relatives still reside. However, he grew up east of there in Shelbyville, Indiana. He showed an early interest in music when his parents bought him a ukulele at the age of eight. Jeff began to teach himself chords and singing and soon entertained the third grade class with his rendition of "Wendy" during "Show and Tell". It was also the third grade that he received his first Magnus organ. He conquered the art of playing left hand chords and right hand melody. He surprised his teacher with a line-up of Christmas songs that he had taught himself. The fourth grade brought him his first real guitar, a Gibson, allowing him to venture into more complex chords and was able to perform songs he heard from the radio without sheet music. He was truly blessed with an ear for music and a talent for his own style of playing. In the fifth grade he formed his first five piece band which was actually good enough to play three songs for their elementary school graduation.

Jeff was smitten. He pursued music with a passion singing and performing in the show choir at Shelbyville High School. He became so good at the age of fourteen, he picked up a fan following, and was asked to perform at the local ''Bluebird Dinner Theater".

Senior year of high school was the year he introduced himself to the piano. It quickly became his love. Jeff spent hours upon hours teaching himself this new instrument! The family could not find room in their budget for lessons but that did not deter Jeff. Jeff learned and he learned with passion. During this time, he wrote his first song called, "There''s Life Ahead" which he wrote as a choir arrangement and was performed by his school choir. After high school graduation, he enrolled at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, majoring in music theory and composition.

By the time he reached twenty-one, he was rearing to perform on stage and do some traveling so, he decided to postpone college and quickly connected with a band based out of Indy. It was a very good experience for Jeff and he loved the audiences and traveling the state performing on hotel circuits and privately owned dinner clubs, but soon was itching to do some traveling across the country. Jeff took the initiative and auditioned for a well-known touring show band "Make Believe" based out of North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. Jeff was hot on the keyboards! He was accepted by the band and the touring began up and down the east coast. "Make Believe" also auditioned for the television show ''Star Search" and won the slot to represent the east coast for the television contest in L. A.. What an experience! The show band made it through several rounds of contest, bowing out close to the finals. However, how great the experience of performing nationwide on t.v. and receiving the opportunity to meet some very famous people including Ed McMahon.

Jeff took a change of course around the age of thirty as he met up with a jazz banjo player. He jumped into playing Ragtime music and for five years he was the main pianist at the Boggstown Inn and Cabaret Dinner Club outside Indianapolis. He also accompanied other acts that played there as well as participating in the rollicking of dueling pianos.

Throughout the years Jeff has continued to write music for himself and other groups including some TV spots on local stations. Then at thirty-five, he felt called back to his Christian roots and started playing at the Methodist church in Shelbyville, Indiana and introduced an Easter cantata he had written at nineteen. This was performed by the community choir in Shelbyville. Jeff had changed directions in his career and was reunited to a friend Sara Reid, Dean of Music at Marion College, Indianapolis, Indiana, who was so impressed with his piano style and composition of music that she suggested he return to school and, so he did! It was there he would meet Composition Director, Chris Rutkowski who taught Jeff more prolific classical music composition, and how to write arrangements for piano and vocal. Chris was an inspiration to Jeff and he studied under him for two years.

Currently Jeff is residing in Lafayette, Indiana being close to family, acquiring new friends and opening his own studio, "Vivid Sound Recording Studio", ( where his latest recording), "My Great & Mighty Lord" was mixed and produced. He remains a prolific keyboardist with a talent in almost any genre of music, although his greatest love is inspirational Christian music. Jeff also found a wonderful outlet for fellowship and worship at Trinity United Methodist Church of Lafayette and is playing for and singing in the church choir. He also plays for Trinity''s contemporary service, "New Road" where he is keyboardist and one of the vocalists for Praise and Worship songs. Sunday worship at Trinity is spiritually and musically bursting out from behind the church doors onto the street.

Jeff has teamed up with lyricist Donna Raub and believes this musical partnership is turning out some awesome, inspirational contemporary Christian songs. They are about the ups and down of life. It is exciting to see this dynamic duo create the kind of music we know you will enjoy. We believe you will find reassurance through Jeff''s music in whatever comes your way in life. Jeff''s unique style of cutting edge music, along with Donna''s spiritual closeness to nature in the lyrics is most impressive.

Enjoy!
