Wreck1(born Shane LaBounty Jr.) pulls no punches as he aims at his blinged out counterparts every time he has a chance to have his vocals recorded. With the arrogance of any New York artist, mixed with the vocabulary and flow of Mr. Slim Shady himself, and a pinch of Lupe Fiasco''s sarcastic consciousness, Wreck1 is capturing many fans who hold Eminems earlier albums in high regard.
Being one of the first artists to really use the internet as a marketing tool, before Myspace and YouTube, Wreck1 began spreading the word through many different online message boards which linked him with other artists through out the world. This enabled Wreck1 to book and promote his own tour at the age of 18 through out the USA and Canada. During this time, Wreck1 has opened for artists such as Nas, KRS One, Pittsburgh Slim, and various member of Wu Tang. Wreck1 has also released singles produced by Mr. Porter (from the platinum selling group, D-12) entitled “The Club Song” and “Ain’t A Riddle.” He has also release a free single online produced by the grammy award winning, Rocwilder, named My DJ, Your Girlfriend, Now Wreck1 averages about 400 plays on myspace (with no bots) and hits come from all over the world from NY and LA to the UK and Japan.
Wreck1 is currently touring through out the USA on his first ever headlining tour, entitled the "SuperVillains Unite Tour" and hopes to take the tour to Europe sometime in 2009. The tour is to help promotion for his debut EP entitled "SuperVillan''s Circus".
The EP is 9 tracks long, 8 of which are produced by Mr. Porter of D-12. Mr Porter is also featured on the track "Ain''t A Riddle" and the two lead singles, "Myspace Rapper" and "The Club Song", are both burning up college radio and also some commercial stations through out the USA.
