Details:
There is a line between art, the artist, and the artisan. The difference is for each individual to decide...what do you want out of inspiration????

Jordan Mycoskie was born in Arlington, Texas on April 16, 1980. While shooting sporting clays in early April of 1997 Jordan shot his right big toe off with a 12 guage shotgun. A tragedy for the Lamar High School football team, but a blessing in desguise it turns out. While recovering from the accident Jordan was so disgusted with daytime television that he taught himself to play guitar.

The day after his high school graduation Jordan started over in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, working as a trapper and shooting instructor at the Vail Rod & Gun Club. His experiences as a traveler have molded him into one of the most thoughtful and engaging songwriters of his generation. Jordan plays for the people and sells his records to live and pay for gas.

The next four years Jordan attended Southern Methodist University, returning to Colorado each summer to join his sister, Katy, who had quickly become the authority in fishing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, riding, shooting, hunting, and rafting. While going to school Jordan began performing in Dallas and recorded his first album, SALTLESS TEARS, in 2001, Produced by Billy Herzig.

SALTLESS TEARS showcases Jordan''s Beatles-meets-Guy Clark-meets-Rolling Stones style that can only be described as refreshing and unique. The next few years were spent playing live and meeting people that were not interested in original songs....and a few that were.

The next record, AIRPORTS AND FERRIS WHEELS (2004), was done as result of the established 3-PIECE BAND, John Losinger, J.W. Marshall and Mycoskie, driving to Nashville to record with Billy Herzig and Wendy Mazur again. The result was a fine base and over the next months additional musician were invited to add their expertise to the recordings. Those so generous included: Billy Herzig, Roger Ray, Kurt South, Phil Pritchett, Sally Mycoskie, Buster the Bird, Andy Most and many more.

This Record, THE EXCHANGE SESSIONS, was recorded from 2005-2006 in the Fort Worth Stockyards at Mycoskie''s own recording studio, THE STUDIO. The record is mainly acoustic all songs written by Mycoskie and more on the lighter side of life...sorta.

There are many live rocordings of song-swaps, collaborations, and full band gigs, that will be made available some day...for now find ''em and burn ''em!
