New Invisible Joy first put their music to canvas in March of 2000, leaving an indelible mark on the northeast music scene with the release of their debut album "Pale blue day." The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette hails "Pale Blue Day" as "an aural masterpiece." The Pittsburgh Tribune Review calls it, "inventive, creative, experimental, bold... fresh and original... a breathtaking collision of art and music." Tracks from "Pale Blue Day" have Received extensive AAA, college, and popular radio play throughout the region, and have been included on numerous compilation albums including Madgroove''s Mad Hitz 2, MMC2001, PMC2001, Pittsburgh X-files 2001 & 2002, https://www.tradebit.com Volume One and Tonos A&R Drop Box Volume Four.
Touring in support of "Pale Blue Day," New Invisible Joy has developed a glowing regional buzz, kindled by their captivating live performances at venues like Arlene Grocery and the Bitter End, in Manhattan; Grape Street Pub and Pontiac Grille, in Philadelphia; and Club Cafe, Nick''s fat city, and Rosebud, in Pittsburgh. During this past fall and winter, they opened for several national acts, including Dave Navarro, Flickerstick, The Strokes, and John Mayer.
Amidst their hefty touring schedule, New Invisible Joy has managed to write more than an album of new material, now part of their live repertoire. Anxious to get back in the studio, they opted to record in Manhattan with accomplished producer Ed Tuton, who has previously worked with national artists such as Alana Davis, Maxwell, and Eagle Eye Cherry. In the winter, New Invisible joy traveled to Manhattan to record at Globe Studios, and Joe Blaney Music. The final mix was completed in March of 2002 and New Invisible Joy is pleased to present this five-song limited edition EP.
