Nix the Hoop Earrings is primarily a songwriting project of Nick Mahoney''s making. Nick has also performed many of these songs over the years and has just this year recorded them on his home pro-tools rig. Most recently, the song Backpack was written for his 5 year old son Sean who is now attending Kindergarten. The song was performed last week in front a 200+ person audience. The requests for the recording were overwhelming with scores of teen aged girls dancing and singing the refrain "got it all in my backpack!"
