Raised by a single parent, I have known some hardship in my life. Even though I was loved, things weren''t just handed to me. I went to Ohio State and got a Bachelor''s in Journalism/PR, but had major trouble breaking into the Public Relations field. So, I just got a job in the Administrative arena and I am good at it. As an adult, after being laid-off TWICE by a reputable company and then a government organization, I decided that pursuing a life-long dream might not be so bad after all. I went to a couple of local $20-conferences in Columbus, and learned so much that I was absolutely convinced that I could do it. I mean, those who are already songwriters/performers aren''t from Mars! Those are real people, just like me! So, I figured, I went to college. I got a job (even if it wasn''t what I trained for). And I have been laid-off TWICE and I am a temp now. WHY NOT try to do what I really wanted to do in the first place? What can I lose.
