Tofa''ah consists of 8-10 woman (originally from the States but now reside in Israel) living in Jerusalem. The idea of the band started when Yona Yacobovitz (the founder, drummer, arranger and producer of the band) helped raise money for a family that lost their possessions in a fire through a benefit concert. It was so successful, that she decided to continue to inspire and uplift women everywhere through her music. That was back in 1981.....and now almost 25 years later, having gone through many changes and transitions and 7 cd''s (and 2 on the way)we''re still inspiring people wherever we go and making new friends and fans along the way!
