What people are saying about Oka Road''s new EP, Drive Number:

Kevin Crawford, Core Media Group-November 27, 2003

I popped their disc (Drive Number) in earlier, and I have to say, I''m really impressed. They have a great sound. I really like their acoustic song, Come and Go. I really dug their record--I get a lot of crap through the office, so it was refreshing.

Keegan James, 97 Radio Promotions-December 23, 2003

I had an opportunity to review Oka Road''s EP, Drive Number this afternoon and I like what I heard. Smooth melodic rock. Exceptional vocals were complimented by a combination of acoustic and electric guitars. The drums were solid and the hand drums added another dimension to the sound. Good hooks and the lyrics were well written. The material was definitely radio friendly. "It Was Said" definitely set the tempo and tone for the entire EP. Well done guys.

What makes Oka Road unique? Is it their vocalist who embraces an alternative sound combined with an acoustic guitarist and percussionist? Could it be their ingenious endeavor to create a new genre of rock-n-roll? Either way, Oka Road is back in action with their second forthcoming album, Drive Number.

Oka Road is expanding the music boundaries of the California coast by providing an acoustic alternative rock sound with a jazzy twist. Oka Road defines life''s dilemmas, lessons and dreams, and creatively places those raw emotions into their music and lyrics. "The Dream" begins with the soft whisper of an acoustic guitar, followed by the gentle percussionist tapping lightly on his cymbal and a clever voice of reason (lyrically speaking) that believes in everyone who dreams. "Clocktower" is also a slow driven melody that believes in the essence of time and all the powers it holds.

Oka Road continues to deliver an impressive sound, yet they manage to stay focused and ignore being stereotyped. So, if you''re interested in going to a show or buying an album, then I encourage you to visit https://www.tradebit.com.
