running his studio in Hamburg,Germany.

It is not what you would expect when someone talks about "computer music".
He generates bands and orchestras as if they are playing live in a studio.
No wonder...he used to play most of the instruments live on stage.
The passion
and love for music started very early.
"Music entered into my life when I first listened to my mother`s heartbeat" he states,
and at the age of five he felt the urge to express his relation to music.
He quickly learned on how to play guitar, flute, and mallets
and visited a music college for children.
At the age
of 14 he started composing and became familiar
with instruments like drums, percussion, orchestral percussion, timpani and others.
Later on,
he joined various bands, and playing live on stage became his passion.
"It was such a joy to pick up an instrument. I always wanted to play and to improvise
no matter what the time or occasion....On gigs, band members sometimes had to stop me
because I played and played without being aware that they are hungry and want to go home.
It astonished the audience and I made great musical progress."
After a long journey
through many music styles
he decided to work on solo projects to find new ways of expressing himself.
"One day I realized that I was no longer able to explain to others
about the kind of music I wanted to create. There was no way to find the right words.
And then...to top off the crisis, I saw clearly that I would have to stop writing lyrics
and that my songwriting, which had been created around spoken words, would
have to go into another direction."
Since then,
he has experimented with digital recording using personal computers.
"The computer functions as a memory bank.
It remembers anything and everything: every note, every bar, every expression.
And most of the time it does what I want it to do.
It allows me to compose without the need to verbally explain my ideas to others,
and the playback is as vital and alive as when I performed it."
Today,
the bases of his musical themes are Ethno, Classic, Worldmusic,
New Age, Jazz and more.
"I like to come closer to the very heart of music itself, without any spoken message.
When I touch the heart of the music I touch my own heart.
Thus enables me to convey things honestly and directly.
It is like coming in contact with joy, freedom and respect for myself and others,
all thanks to the technology used in modern equipment."

"...I`d like to say, very simply: I invite you to listen.
I do not write music for relaxation, or for dancing,
but for the very pleasure of listening.
I do not know if I have learned enough to successfully make music,
but I do know that I have learned to listen.
I have the feeling we have unlearned this...this simple and pure listening.
Just as you listen to a bird in the morning...for a moment...
you may want to sit down, to close your eyes, and just listen.
