Paradigm Lost is a unique entity, which integrates elements of acoustic/electric, retro/progressive jazz, rock, blues, country and folk influences into an exciting synthesis of all of these. While the band is immediately accessible in terms of cross-generational listening enjoyment, they manage to mix in exotic sonic ingredients from all over the world. Much of the sound of this band is centered around polyrhythmic simplicity and good old American rock and roll. They are as equally adept at harmonies in the middle of all-out "rockers". Mike Shepherd, a self taught muti-instrumentalist, whose original songs form the nucleus of this bands musical identity along with Rick Crossley on base and back-up vocals.
