Formed in late 2006, Somasphere has quickly become known in the Midwest for energetic live shows that combine the dance floor sensibilities of DJ culture with the performance capabilities of rock music. Their unique approach to electronic music has continued to evolve and appeals to an increasingly diverse audience. By the end of summer 2008, Somasphere had shared the stage with some of the most innovative acts in the country, including Lotus, Pnuma Trio, Bassnectar, EOTO and DJ Logic. Inspired by these performances, the band took their sound to the studio and produced their debut EP, More Shapes.
