T.T. Hanco Records Presents...

Soncier, who''s birth name is Marcus Dewayne Hancock, was born in Fort Bragg, NC on December 7, 1987. He attended elementary school in Cincinnati, Ohio and Washington, DC. He attended middle school in Suitland, MD, and High School in Temple Hills, MD. His goal is to become an aspiring Rap artist and to be a positive role model to others.

Some of Soncier''s accomplishments are as follows:

Soncier has been in the Hip Hop game for about 10 years. He was signed to T.T. Hanco Records in 2006 and released his first album, "Soncier" Tell It Like It Is in Dec. 2006.

Although his first album didn''t make it big on the music charts, it did score big on the underground radar. While
working with other artist in the DMV area also helped him
earn some points, he still hadn''t found his way in the industry. Just a short while later in the spring of 2007,
Soncier saw that it wasn''t his music but, that Hip Hop its
self had taken a turn for the worst. No one was feeling Hip Hop the way he was. So, he started looking for Hip Hop venues to perform in and, when there were Hip Hop competitions in the area, he would perform there as well. This help him promote his music and attrack others who shared his dream of keeping Hip Hop alive.

Then, in 2007 artist like NAS released new music saying that
Hip Hop is dead. This made a lot people think about the fact
that if it was dead, what were we hearing on the radio. Well, it was a version of Hip Hop and urban music based on everyday music crossing over or old music trying to cross over. In any case, what we were listening to wasn''t making the kind of impression that Hip Hop did back in the day. Even record label were starting to feel the pressure from lost sales due to lack of fans no longer wanting to buy the old music crossover sound with up tempo club beats. When Tupac and Big died, Hip Hop died too. NAS has tried to bring it back; Common has tried to keep it alive; now, Soncier wants to make a stand and introduce his style of Hip Hop to the world.

In the summer of 2008, Soncier got his big break, opening for Universal recording artist, "Marky" at Club Bounce in D.C., performing his new single "How You Do That" from his 2nd upcoming album, "Soncier" The Hero of Hip Hop, Part 1 "Tell It Like It Is". The show was a hit and he anncounced
his goal for Hip Hop music in the music industry. It was the DMV Invasion Tour, a plan he and T.T. Hanco Records CEO came up with to put Hip Hop back on the map. Starting in the DMV area, then moving into other larger cities.

In October 2008 Soncier opened for Keri Hilson at The Bowie State University Yard Fest and in November 2008 began his quest for Hip Hop''s next new artist in the music industry.

Look for Soncier''s new album to hit stores in December 2008.

Soncier''s style of Rap/Hip Hop music has a rare and new sound that is sure to capture an audience. You will be impressed by his unique hustle and flow style. If you like old school rap and miss those old time hip hop rhythms, then you are sure to like the sound of Soncier. "He''s like, uhh, uhh, uhh, uhh".

Welcome to the sound of SONCIER.
