The sound you''d never expect to listen from far south of Italy. Pivirama is a band from Palermo - Sicily headed by a rrriot girl, playing guitar and performing a very sensual vocals. The band has been appreciated for its very particular mix of rock, pop and psicadalia. Music that could be simply pop, but the melodies of an acustic violin mixed up with electric guitars and an unusual female voice, make a very special sound.
In 2004 the band produced itself the debut album COSA SEMBRA (''in english: What does it mean'') which contains 8 songs (some are in Italian, the others in English) and which obtained very good reviews. One of the songs of the cd has been chosen between thousands for the compilation 2rock issued by Radio rai 1 (first Italian radio)

Il disco d´esordio di questa indi-pop-rock band siciliana che ama essere indefinibile, é da considerarsi una di quelle autoproduzioni riuscite grazie al sound energico e compatto, all´affiatamento dei 4, ed al forte impatto delle canzoni. La voce femminile, che spicca fra le chitarre distorte, gioca un ruolo importante e dá un certo tocco esotico al disco: controcanti, sussurri rarefatti e linee di voce "insolite" talvolta quanto quelle dei Marlene Kuntz (''Se'').
