Corruptable is a rock band from Milwaukee Wisconsin with a wide array of musical styles and raw energy. While the heart of its sound consists of hard rock, in an unconventional sense they add metal, blues, funk, progressive, pop, grunge, classic rock, and punk to the mix. Jumping from straight-line and simple, to twisting and complex, the band prides themselves on being loud, hard, and in your face one moment and melodic and smooth the next. Corruptable''s lyrical content jumps from love and heartbreak to incorporating themes such as the supernatural, global conspiracy, shadow governments, extra terrestrial presence, and chaotic weather conditions. The bands influences include Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Tool, System of a Down, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Faith No More, The Police, Toto, Lagwagon, NoFX, Bob Marley, and many more.
Corruptable''s first CD, "Long Time Coming" is slated for release December 13, 2008 at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn (1001 E Locust St. Milwaukee, WI).
The group has played to capacity crowds in the hundreds at such music venues in Milwaukee as Shank Hall, The Rave, G'' Daddy''s BBC, Linnemans, and Points East Pub. They have shared the stage with many well respected musical acts. The band was featured in a documentary which included live concert footage and interviews that aired on Milwaukee Public Television in March 2008. They will also appear in the in a half hour show entitled “Broke Rock Band” that will air early 2009 on Milwaukee Public Television, that chronicles the bands struggle to make a living playing music.
A life of music is full of surprises, setbacks, and changes. Disagreements, lack of commitment, alien abduction, sex changes, poor hygiene, broken strings, banging the guitar players'' girlfriend, and gunfire contribute to the ceaseless game of musical bands. The true character of a band is determined by its ability to overcome obstacles. This band is built to last.
