PLUM STREET: RETRO ALTERNATIVE MAINSTREAM ROCK!!!
Who lives on Plum Street? An indie rock ''n'' roll band from Detroit that writes and performs sharply-crafted songs filled with hooks and muscle...a band whose tunes can make you laugh, cry, dance, and think-sometimes all at the same time. A band that rocks, period.

Named for the now defunct but fondly remembered Detroit artists'' haven of the same name, Plum Street-drummer Michael Gerard, bassist John Sase, rhythm guitarist Gary Senick, and lead guitarist Jere Stormer-take musical forms from the past and pull them into the present. Plum Street opens the doors of our rock legacy and takes you through portals into another world.

The members of Plum Street create songs that reflect on many influences and styles while staying true to the melody. Retro but not dated, these tunes use classic rock as their jumping-off point to take you on some surprising turns along the way. The songs encompass upbeat pop, bittersweet ballads, raw rave-ups, and dark, moody soundscapes. You''ll hear strains of punk, garage, reggae, jazz, folk/rock, blues/rock, power pop, psychedelia, and progressive rock in Plum Street. The band writes evocative lyrics that take you through everything from yearning love songs to socially-conscious observations to humorous recollections of teenage life in suburban Detroit. Plum Street pulls all of this together in a form that makes you want to both listen and dance.

Writing in Renegade, Eric Harabadian said that Plum Street "share a mature and collective vision rarely seen in pop or rock today." So, check out Plum Street and take a trip that will blow your mind. We promise you an exciting musical experience that will be both familiar and totally new. (Bell-bottoms and love beads are optional.)

Michael Gerard: Drummer Gerard, who had played music with Sase, Senick, and Stormer individually, formed Plum Street in 2000 to bring all of them together. Initially a songwriters'' collective, the group emerged as a rock band.

John Sase: Bassist Sase has had a long involvement with the Detroit art scene and presided over the Dramatic Research Company of Detroit. The founder of Kavish Media, he also teaches classes on the business of music.

Gary Senick: Rhythm guitarist Senick has worked as a solo artist, traveling to England to perform. He has also sung at the White House and for the Pope. Senick is also writer and editor and manages many projects at Kavish Media.

Jere Stormer: Lead guitarist Stormer has won three Detroit Music Awards. He is also a music host on public radio station WDET where he introduced folk-music programming and has hosted shows such as BandPass and Radios in Motion.
