Klosed Custody Records is named after the classification levels of the Texas prison systems (TDCJ). It''s where the worst of the worst go, to live out their time in solitude because of staff assaults, inmate assaults, escapes, riots and other disciplinary problems.
Daniel Martin (CEO) of Klosed Custody Records spent 8 years in the Texas Prison System in which 3 ½ was spent on Klosed Custody. The reason Daniel gave his record label the name Klosed Custody, is because it taught him that being alone only makes you stronger. The warden thought that he was breaking him, but in reality he was making him.
Now CEO of a growing Record label, Daniel has set his sights on creating a movement here in Kansas. With a production team that consists of: Dope Scales, Marcell Brando, Ge Da Speed, and Young Javi. They''re creating a style that can only be described as "Magic Music."
Klosed Custody’s first album “ Topeka’s Most Wanted”, dropped August 8, 2008 and it featured the hottest artists in Topeka. Young Pain, K.O. Streets, Maniyac, Crucial, Scoot, K.D. Kane, Bob Blount, Nikia Tre’, Dope, and Bizzy aka (Bad Bizzniz) all did their part to unify the music scene in Topeka.
The album has sold 400 units since its release and the artists have sold out shows in Topeka and surrounding cities.
Brandon Evans aka Bizzy aka (Bad Bizzniz), is the first artist to sign on to Klosed Custody Records. Bizzy’s style is unique because he gives you something for the streets, the clubs, as well as the ladies.
His album will be out spring of 2009 entitled “Get Right or Get Left”.
