One day several years ago, Ben Cosloy, who knew Tristan Trotter socially but not well, called her to ask if she''d like to help him work on some songs he''d written. After some time, it seemed that the songs were too big for just the two of them. So Ben enlisted his friend from waaaay back, Mr. Arthur J. McCaffrey, to be an equal partner in the endeavor. . .and thus, Planes Intersect, as we know it today, was born. Across the miles (AJ lives in Boston) songs flew and re-flew, and eventually were finished, recorded and compiled into the record, "Song for Suicidal Lovers." Currently, the three are at work on a second record, but god only knows when it will be done, as Tristan and Ben (who now know each other quite a bit better than they did when all this began) have a brand new son to contend with (and he is, rest assured, a tough customer whose needs will not be denied), and AJ is busy with his various and assundry brilliant projects and teaching jobs. But eventually, the world will have the next Planes Intersect project, and then. . .and only then. . .will the kitties sing and the babies cry and all creatures of the night will turn to their pillows and lay down their furry heads.
