MP3 Plastic Jesus - So You Say Rock & Roll's A Sin...

Think Chuck Berry fighting back to back with The Ramones in a crowded bar, throwing fists and swinging chains...

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Punk, ROCK: 50''s Rock

Details:
From the back alleys of Long Island and the back roads of Upstate New York comes the distinctly American rock-n-roll sound of Plastic Jesus. Blending the unique experience of growing up in suburban LI and working class Waterford with ''50s guitar hooks, 4-on-the-floor rhythms, and punk rock attitude, Frankie Levittown, Josh Welf, and Johnny Riott deliver a dose of rock-n-roll reality like a long swig from a warm bottle of Thunderbird: It''s cheap, it''s easy, and you just keep going back for more.

After spending most of his life prowling around the vast Long Island suburban wasteland, Frankie Levittown grabbed his guitar, a zest for rock-n-roll, and a handful of catchy, upbeat riffs and headed to upstate New York. There, while working out the details of the songs and mooching off the government, he happened upon the ever boisterous and animated Josh Welf. Suspecting that Josh may actually have some talent, or perhaps just suffering the ill effects of PCB laden Waterford, Frankie recruited him to play bass figuring he would at least be entertaining to have around to make fun of. Falling right into place playing bass, Josh''s oft open mouth also made him a perfect fit to pick up some of the backup and part-time lead vocal duties. Before long the duo realized something was missing and placed an ad in a local Albany paper looking for a ''drummer for a no-talent punk rock band''. Fellow L.I. exile Johnny Riott, with nothing to loose since the collapse of the ''.bom'' he worked for, answered the call. Johnny''s concrete and steady beats created a solid foundation for the music and with his Long Island heritage and punk rock contempt, the band immediately bonded.

Within weeks the boys rehearsed a set of songs, recorded a quick three track EP, and began playing show after show after show. It didn''t take long for the unique and disparate, yet strangely complimentary, talents of Frankie, Josh, and Johnny to be noticed. From shows in basements, to small clubs, to larger venues opening for national acts, such as the Undead, Murphy''s Law, Two Man Advantage, Plan A Project, The GC5, the Forgotten, the Casualties, The River City Rebels and many more, audiences always seem to get it and have a good time when Plastic Jesus hits the stage.

With thier brand new debut CD ''So You Say Rock & Roll''s A Sin...'' the band is determined to put the pedal down and push the limits of punk rock n'' roll.

So strap yourself in because the E-brake is off, the gas tank is full, and these thugs are cruising in their tricked out ghetto wagon with it''s plume of black smoke, spewing punk rock n'' roll from the rusted exhaust pipe covering everything they pass with the speckled dirt of Plastic Jesus.
