"Irish Madness" is a wonderful, high enery CD of West Coast Fiddle Music blended with traditional Canadian Fiddle tunes. "Irish Madness" has been nominated by the 2008 CANADIAN FOLK MUSIC AWARDS for outstanding music writing and performance under the Young Performer Catagory.
Kierah is a fiddling virtuoso and music composer. Classically trained from the age of 4- Kierah is currently in Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music and a dedicated member of the Semiahmoo Strings Youth Orchestra. At five years old Kierah was introduced to fiddle music which she has played with great passion ever since. She started performing at six years old at weddings, festivals and as a regular busker at Vancouver''s Granville Market.
Kierah''s love of music is expressed through 9 of the tunes she wrote on her CD which are beautifully blended with traditional favorites. Kierah''s spirited and confident performance throughout "Irish Madness" contributes to a very happy CD full of infectious, foot tapping music.
Kierah''s gifted playing on "Irish Madness", ( well engineered by Turtle Studios of White Rock, B.C.), is enhanced by the rhythmic, spot on guitar accompaniment of professional musician & instructor--Andy Hillhouse (of Mad Pudding & The McDades)
The first tune Kierah composed--The Flannery Chuckle--was a special thankyou to all the support and laughter she saw and received from her Flannery family -which inspired her to write that tune.
