"Why" is an honest grappling with what is essential in us recorded honestly; live in the studio. "Still You" is an uptempo re-commitment song with a twist, also recorded live. Andrew Carillo, guitarist from Joan Osborne, lends a hand (or two); Graham Maby, Joe Jackson''s bass player, does likewise; and notable Manhattan session drummer Rich Mercurio and recording artist ("This Life") and producer Marc Ribler (guitar, etc.) round out the enterprise. Ken sees his music as a natural extension of his work as a psychologist, and vice versa, though each role is discrete. As he said to a reporter who asked him why a psychologist is writing and performing music: "A psychologist isn''t writing and performing music, a musician is".
