A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, Ashley Alexander has been singing and performing all over the country for most of her life. Growing up her favorite artists ranged from Reba McEntire to Ella Fitzgerald to Mariah Carey to John Mayer. Ashley''s appreciation for various artists helped her developed a love and appreciation for all styles of music such as jazz, pop, country, and R&B. All of which would influence her own vocal style.
Ashley Alexander graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston 2008 with a Double Major in Vocal Performance and Music Business Management. She has been recognized nationally for her work performing and recording with her sister Arsha in their pop group, Fantasy from 2000-2004. In 2003 She and her sister were awarded “Best New Artists of the Year for R&B” at the Los Angeles Music Awards. Ashley and Arsha have also performed with O-Town, Lenny Kravitz, Christina Milian, O-Town, J.C. Chasez, Baby Bash, Cassidy, Nick Cannon, and Tito Puente Jr.
Ashley''s December release will celebrate her first solo CD titled, ‘Heaven On Earth’. It is a dynamic collection of Country-Pop songs recorded in Nashville Tenn. The CD combines sweet melodies, catchy lyrics and great harmonies, all of which showcase Ashley’s magnificent vocals-The true benchmark of all Ashley Alexander Music. Her mix of the spirit of country and the longing of soul translate to audiences all around and are received through her heartfelt vocal performances.
2008 represents a breakthrough year for Ashley Alexander, co-writing and performing on this album. She has surrounded herself with an accomplished team of music industry legends. Executive Producer, Jerry Marcellino, has produced and written for Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Frankie Valli, Bobby Darin, The Four Tops and Al Jarraeu. He was the producer and co-writer for Ashley and Fantasy’s debut CD back in 2001. Co-Producer, engineer and writer, Bill Cuomo, has worked with Don Henley, Olivia Newton John, Barbra Streisand, Steve Perry and Kim Carnes. His work with Carnes on the hit single “Bette Davis Eyes” earned a Grammy Award “Record of the Year”1981. And finally Ashley Alexander was honored to co-write with music legend Beeb Birtles, a co-founder and member of the Multi-Platinum Group ‘The Little River Band’. Mr. Birtles and his fellow band members were renowned for their melodic harmonies and he has added his vocal harmonies to this album.
