Its that time of year again, Snow, the Fireplace Roaring, Hot Apple Cider and of course STEVE ABBRUZZI.
This is the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas in Philadelphia is like Christmas in Italy, the lights, the sounds, the children and of course the music.
Growing up and singing in Philadelphia was always magical for Steve, during the holidays. The city seemed to come alive and move with its own rythm. Music played from every street corner and house, while families prepared for the holidays. Choirs practiced, bands rehearsed with great anticipation of the music, only to be shared once a year..
Steve wanted to share his musical experiences with you and of course memories to leave with his children.
With that all in mind, as Steve sat with his producers and discussed the playlist for this album, one thought always came to the top. Christmas was to be happy, exciting, and upbeat. So Steve picked the very songs that he thought would transform you to a happier time and moment.
Songs like "Dominic The Donkey" and "Marshmallow World".
Many of these songs were made famous by many of Steve''s musical idols growing up. Like Dean Martin, Perry Como, and of course who could sing a Christmas song like Bing Crosby.
All of these songs that were selected are all great classics, with timeless arrangements. Steve had the oppurtunity once more to work with great producers and engineers like Greg Carrozza with Left Hand Audio, and of course the legendery Pete Humphreys, from MasterWork Recordings, who has worked with many of the greats like Teddy Pendergrass and Lou Rawls just to name a few. And was able to complete the project in his hometown of Philadelphia.
