PRODICAL SON

The Prodical Son (Kelvin L. Roundtree, Jr.), formally known as K-Funk was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He began his music career at the age of 13 as a Disc Jockey (DJ) for family and friends, which eventually landed him jobs at local night clubs by the time he was 16 years old. During his senior year in high school, he became the DJ for the platinum recording group 95 South. He toured with 95 South for 2 ½ years prior to being invited to become a member of the 69 Boyz. While performing and traveling with The 69 Boys he continued write choruses and verses for himself and many others. The 69 Boyz sold over 33 million CD''s and albums worldwide. The group toured internationally and had the opportunity to appear on a host of television shows such as Soul Train, BET Live, BET Soundstage, Arsenio Hall, Jenny Jones, Rickey Lake and many more. K-Funk left the group in 2001 to pursue a career of his own. After two years, he met a friend who changed his entire outlook on music. It was then that realized that he had everything backward. He was in the "World" but seeking God for the purpose and plan for his life; hence the Prodical Son. After this encounter his life and music were forever changed. He was home; his life and passion for music were submitted to God. Since that choice God has used the ministry of His disciple the Prodical Son as a testimony and a witness for His glory. The Prodical Son''s mission is to provide an urban sound for God''s people so that others don''t have to compromise with the secular world. His music is the testimony of his life, struggles, and how God delivered him. Raised in the inner-city, people from the "streets" with similar experiences will relate to this anointed ministry that was inspired by the Holy Spirit. "Behold the Lord said I do a new thing." Be on the look out for the first album from The Prodical Son titled Altar Call, early 2005.
