Details:
Even in Murfreesboro, a city teeming with talent, Paco is unique.

He came to the Music City area, for example, not as a kid off the Greyhound with stars in his eyes, but as a outspoken poet who had already begun a promising career.

Once arrived, he became a high-profile street lyricist while at the same time building his reputation as a "rapper''s rapper," with a reliable source of hit material to grab the ears of the listener.

At social events people would quickly gather around Paco lauding his ability to make his words "ache, reach, lift, & bend in a way no one else does."

All of this suggests that Paco isn''t an artist you can file easily into any one category of artist.

And now, with his simutaneous release of two new albums, different in meaning yet equal in their excellence, this point is made clearer than ever.

Adding to HipHop, a collection of tunes written alone or with co-writers like R&B Singer Whitney Kechelle and Producer/Rap Artist Off White, Paco assembles a multi-talented lineup of artist who know their way around the studio, and invests this realistic music with the creative sounds that have made him a fixture amongst the Music scene.

On PACO Chapter 1, he teams up with two respected music writers, Wes & Charlie Of Dirty Beats (also his co-producers on this project), to create a selection of tunes that capture the essence of underground and mainstream rap, right down to the beatbox energy and the hype of the crowd.

And on PACO Chapter 2 set to release November 4th, in a second time collaboration with Wes & Charlie, he adapts a young new music writer; Dev (currently attending College for Sound/Recording & Engineering) to assist.

As with all of Paco''s work, from Chapter 1, his critic-dazzling debut in 2005, through Chapter 2, his epic collaboration in 2008, & a multitude of special guest feature''s on other artist''s albums, his lyrics make a strong initial impression and grow richer with repitition. The point is that, as compelling as this music is when heard for the first time, there''s plenty going on below the surface too.

Ask Paco about this, and his answer is unexpected yet right on the button: " I think there are more similarities than differences between these two albums," he says. "These songs could go either way. The rap stuff could be cut by a hiphop artist, and vice versa. To me, a good song is a good song, no matter how you do it."

We respect Paco''s opinion - after all, who knows more about the magic behind the insightful rhymes of "It''s A Given" on the first album, or the topsy-turvey aggression, offset by the female vocalist on the Chapter 2 track, "Hell Naw"? Yet suspicion persists that there is some difference in the work; after all, it''s hard to imagine a song with a deeper romance feel than "Love Letter" or more perfect sense of faith than "Turn The Page."

The truth is that Paco has always had that ability of writing music that reflects his originality as well as a sense of total authenticity. Because his mission is to write songs that excel on their own, rather than shape them to the standards of any one person, he has been able to come up with material that can be adapted to almost any kind of interpretation.

Arguably, though, the best interpretations are Paco''s. That pain in his phrasings in "Quiet Times" and "Big O City," from Chapter 1, came partly through the experiences & influence of his grandmother but mostly through his own gift for channeling life''s lessons through a melody and lacing it with a sharp, unforgettable hook. That transformation of taking bad memories and turning them into stepping stones to see a bigger and better picture, translated threw the two chorus & shows his interest in going beyond the conventions of the idiom. And on Chapter 2 the hype feeling of over coming an obstacle that adds dimension to the beat of "Champion" and the decision to build the emotional peak of the ballad on the word "Champion" testifies as well to his accessible incouragements.

But for all the variety within these tracks, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 pay tributes, and add more flavor and swag to the hip hop world, whose spirits are enhanced rather than distracted by Paco''s innovations.

"I recognize that my diversity can create a challenge for those that need to categorize me," he admits, "where even though I might have heart filled songs and agressive cutting ones too, it''s all for the glory of Jesus Christ! I think Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are a little more straightforward."

Maybe so, but coming from an artist thats met an actual legend (Johnny Cash), and survived two nearly fatal hospital visits (one from a car crash) and (one from a glass door), from different experiences in life his straightward path usually hides unexpected turns.

Thats Paco: predictably unpredictable, suprising and satisfying, mysteriously transforming Rap Music with the power of word.
