That the first letters of "Problem And Solution Time" spell out "PAST" was no mistake when Pleasanton was brainstorming for a title of this record. He deals with matters not only of the past, but also of the present and future with unmistakable fervor. "Problem And Solution Time" begins with "Everything''s Gonna Be All Right" and leads into "Not Your Average Joe". The latter song is somewhat autobiographical in the title alone, and as the lead-off track implies, he''s out to find solutions to problems in his own inimitable fashion. Truly an enigma trapped inside of a riddle is Prescot Pleasanton. Having taken the road less traveled, Pleasanton has learned through experience, that obstacles are what you see when you take your eye off of your goal. This is exemplified in the anthem "Less Traveled", an ode to the heroes who protect and serve (both at home and abroad), who provide for their families and others with honor , doing so without seeking public recognition. "Sounds Too Good", featuring Curtis Bradshaw and the Valley Village Brass, is somewhat of a jaundiced view of modern ''Empty Reality TV Society''. Certainly there is unmistakable spirituality interlaced all throughout this collection of compositions with a definite humility as well. Pleasanton has learned through experience that nothing happens overnight, and life "is what happens while we''re busy making other plans". The solution is right in front of US. "Peace Through Strength" is not only a song title, but a philosophy that won the Cold War for our country. This phrase can be utilized in our personal lives as well. With discipline and determination we find solutions. "Truer Words (Never Spoken)" wraps up the thematic tone of this recording, by finishing with this premise, and places a resounding exclamation point at the end of "Sounds Too Good".
