Details:
From our earliest memories, we remember singing around the piano while our mother Bishop Marcia Pitts accompanied us on the piano. Mom was in charge of the church choir and the district choir, so music was always listened to and studied in our home.
As we sang, it was so easy for us to find our parts. Michelle (Mickie) with her high pitch would sing the soprano line, Beth would sing the alto part and Linda with the somewhat deeper voice, would complete our harmony by singing the tenor line. Harmonizing, with mom''s guidance became very, very easy for us. It did not take us long to perfect a song with a spirit of excellence.
Our father, the late Joseph Pitts Sr. and our brother, Joe Jr., became our first audience. They became accustomed to going about their task at home and car rides, with our 3 voices in the background, perfecting a new song that we just loved; singing it over and over until we had it just right. As young adults, we evolved into the Pitts Sisters, and would sing at family gatherings and would always minister a sermonic selection before mom would preach during one of her many speaking engagements. We grew up singing and working with the choirs in our local church, as well as in the district and national conventions.
Our Mom, Bishop Pitts and sister, Pastor Linda Latimer have been blessed by God with original songs; whether given to them by the Holy Spirit when a crisis occurred or just to minister to their own spirit. Linda, would hear a song, singing on the inside of her by the Holy Spirit, and simply go to the piano, and record the words and lyrics.
We trust that the songs in this CD will be a blessing to you and minister the love and faithfulness of God as you are reminded to simply, “Trust Him.”
