Details:
Quick Started out as a batch of songs Singer/songwriter/guitarist Charlie Muccigrosso began recording back in the spring of ’02. Disenchanted with the daunting task of putting together a band of capable musicians without having a product to peak their interest. Charlie decided to write and record the album himself. He spent about 8 months locked away in an underground bunker (aka basement studio). The record was completed by the winter of ’02 and Charlie started searching for musicians to complete the band. You see, this was never meant to be a solo project by any means. The first record Trash was recorded solely as a tool to attract musicians and spark some interest in this project. And that being its purpose, it has served its purpose well.

Not long after the record was completed, Vic DeFlorio signed on for the head guitar duties. Charlie ran into Vic unexpectedly one weekend, Vic was dating a good friend of Charliesand they began to talk https://www.tradebit.com long after Charlie and Vic started jaming, it was like magic the songs seemed to take on a new life with Vic''s guitar playing. From that point on it was clear the pair would form the nucleus of Quick. Next up was Paul Holly. Charlie and PH go way way back but Paul had hung up the bass for a while, and it was Charlie and Vic’s job, with the help of the CD and large quantities of beer, to convince him to join https://www.tradebit.com see Paul is a true bass player and has been from day one, he thinks and plays like a true bass player. He is not one of those guitar playing converts you see so often nowadays. We’re not really sure it if was the music or the beer but in any case we found our bassist.

And then there were 3.

The 3 spent some months rehearsing to a CD of the drum tracks from the record and auditioning various drummers. They spent a while as a trio until Charlie came across Steve Riker’s phone number. He had played with Steve a while back and had lost touch with him and decided to give him a call. He came down and everything just clicked.

The band spent some time rehearsing and writing new material and soon after started booking shows at Quincy’s Junkyard, Rochelle Park; The Underpass, Elmwood Park; and Willie McBrides, Hoboken, to name a few. At this time, Quick has completed tracking of 6 new songs and hopes to release their second CD by the summer of ’04. They have also been featured on numerous local radio and internet stations, including WDHA and https://www.tradebit.com.

Currently Quick is continuing its massive publicity and marketing blitz with CD handouts, advertising, flyers and open mic jams to go along with their live shows. They see 2004 as an important year for Quick and they plan on doing whatever it takes to make things happen.
