Details:
The Ray Brothers started out as nothing more than a 4-song demo recorded by friends. In August of 2007, the group went into the studio to demo 4 original songs they had been playing as a part of their live show. The session was a two-day marathon, but at the end of the weekend, everyone was pleased with the results. They were so pleased, in fact, that they decided to go forward with writing and recording a full length album.

The sextet moved forward, performing live any chance they got, all the while putting the finishing touches on the album. Finally, on April 18, 2008, Missing The Point was released. TRB celebrated the occasion by throwing an unforgettable concert on the downtown parking deck in Florence, Alabama that not even a heavy storm could quiet.

Since the album released, it has been full speed ahead for TRB. In less than a year’s time, TRB has gained significant local airplay. Missing The Point won Pop Album of the Year in the 1st Annual Muscle Shoals Music Awards and guitarist Dillon Hodges and drummer Benjamin Ray were each recognized as the best on their respective instruments. TRB has opened for national acts such as Sister Hazel and Billy Currington and continues to impress audiences throughout the Southeast with their high-energy live show.

As the group approaches the end of their first full year, they are still writing, still performing, and most of all, still having fun. Watch for the Ray Brothers in a venue near you, and in the meantime, be sure and pick up a copy of Missing The Point.
