MP3 Raymond And Scum - Touch It

It''s comedy rock, baby. If you''re like us, you''ve been painfully searching for songs about Jeff Goldblum, Lando Calrissian, 15 year old obsessive fans, strippers, surf monsters and Demi Moore. Well, the search is over, my friend. The search is over.

ROCK: Modern Rock, SPOKEN WORD: Comedy

Details:
"What the heck is comedy rock?" Well, boys and girls, it''s a musical genre that most bands are too frightened or too talented to even attempt to be a part of. But for Southern California''s Raymond And Scum, fear and musical chops are two things they''ve never had to worry about! Guitarist Matthew Dunn and vocalist Jeff Smith, neither of whom carry the name Raymond or Scum, are proud to be a part of this up and coming musical movement. And with the release of their debut independent CD, Touch It, the movement is getting bigger and bigger.

It all started a couple of years ago when two young high school dweebs found themselves with a guitar, a tape recorder, and way too much time on their hands. They could''ve turned to drugs, they could''ve joined a gang, but instead, they started writing their first comedy song. Raymond And Scum would soon find cult-like (read: two fans have been documented) success in the tiny little world of comedy musicians, performing alongside bands with peculiar names like The Four Postmen, Hot Waffles, and Throwing Toasters. R&S tunes from "Touch It" have even found their way on the nationally syndicated Dr. Demento radio program (their song "Demi Moore" was the #4 song of 2003 on The Dr. Demento Show! Think they''re cool now, don''t ya?)

When they''re not out there playing songs about ex-girlfriends, secondary "Star Wars" characters, and Demi Moore, the R&S members suffer through their day jobs. Matthew is an unpaid intern for a psychologist''s syndicated television show, while Jeff dresses like dogs and pirates while posing for pictures with young boys at an unnamed Southern California theme park owned by Disney. You''ve gotta wonder why they''d want to give up all of that for a music career.
