ROBERT BURKE WARREN LAZYEYE

follow-up to critically acclaimed ...to this day offers guest spots from Rosanne Cash, Kate Pierson, Jerry Marotta

Born with a lazy eye, Robert Burke Warren honors this imperfection by naming his new collection of hook-laden Americana Lazyeye. He takes a deep look - with his good eye - at things flawed, frayed, and torn.

Lazyeye has some notable guests: Kate Pierson of the B-52s dropped in one day to add some porch shoutin'' vocals to Junkman; Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal - with whom RBW co-wrote the song 44 Stories on her most recent (and Grammy nominated) album Rules Of Travel - add harmony vocals and lead guitar respectively to Build Better Wings; legendary drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Indigo Girls, Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, etc.) who Robert met in the parking lot of his son''s preschool, agreed to play on a few cuts.

Acclaimed debut ...to this day was the featured CD on NPR''s nationally syndicated World Cafe and cited by host David Dye as "a gem of an album". Great press notices soon followed from Billboard, The New York Times, Performing Songwriter and more, and gigs abounded in the New York area and beyond.

After a post 9-11 forced exile from Manhattan, RBW and family settled in Upstate New York, spittin'' distance from former stompin'' grounds of The Band and Dylan. Eventually Lazyeye emerged. A potent blend of the White Album meets Big Pink, country and Westerberg-style, there is loss here (All Souls Day), but there is revelation (Sudden Strangers, Mask Reveals) as well as celebration (You Look Good In The Rain, Tobacco Sunrise).

Looking forward, showing off scars, gazing at you unashamedly with a Lazyeye, and sharing stories that can only come from experience. As he says in Vintage Valentine, "I''m a vintage valentine, I got creases and coffee stains/Half empty bottle of wine, half full glass of champagne/But it''s all right, it''s all right/ I got my eyes on the horizon/ and I''m chasing the fade".
