5 MP3 Songs
POP: with Live-band Production, ROCK: Funk Rock

Details:
"Fisher lays down a cool blend of funky riffs, jazz-infused vocals and lyrics that reflect both an emotional vulnerability and a tough spirit that''s unlikely to be broken. Overall, a winning, not to mention infectious, combination. With the help of Matt Fink (a.k.a. Dr. Fink of Prince''s Revolution) fisher''s disc (Observare) stands out on the local music scene." - Pulse Magazine

"Rebekka Fisher''s delightful and diverse vocal abilities, backed by a tight and talented band, add heat to the second release from this St Paul, MN pop/funk/dance outfit. While the come-in cut Shades of Green, is a catchy and enjoyable listen, Down by the River, is a shining audio moment for both the band, as well as this skillful singer. Throughout this CD, each song has an individual flavor, yet the overall feel remains consistent. Song after song, the Rebekka Fisher Band offers a wealth of talent and style. Observare is top-notch!" - ORB Confidential, the Musician''s Trade Journal

Rebekka Fisher started writing music at age 9 and was always considered quiet until she performed on stage, that''s where she found her language to communicate. Born in Minnesota to a cartoonist family, Rebekka''s lyrics include both a reflective and sarcastic side to the groove-jazz music. Her influences include Carol King, Parliament Funkadelic, Gladys Knight, Beck and Bjork.

After receiving a degree in music composition, Fisher went out to start her own production company, Rockomotion Productions. Fisher records, promotes and distributes 4 CD''s locally, and books her band in the Central Minnesota area. The Rebekka Fisher Band has warmed up Johnny Lang, Missing Persons and AJ Croche and has also performed at such music venues as The Fine Line, Cedarfest, Taste of Minnesota, Cabooze, Famous Dave''s, and The Quest.

Fisher runs her own mailing list of just under 1,000, which is mailed out quarterly, and has an updated web page including live recordings from the shows and a music video, currently receiving around 600 hits per month. Her songs are also on MP3 receiving around 74 hits per month. Her song "Come On In" was ranked #140 on the Jazz Vocal charts on MP3. newsletter called "Women Sing" and currently a showcase called "Women Reign" which features women songwriters and
musicians helping out for a good cause. "Women helping women in need". The last event raised just under $1000 for the Family Violence Network and exposed 4 local women bands to a packed house at the Minnesota Music Cafe. This is the start of a series of showcases to happen twice a year.
