Details:
Rebel Saints started 4 years ago at Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA and quickly built a loyal following. After releasing their first demo in summer of 2002, Rebel Saints began playing shows all across the northeast, including Allentown PA, Philadelphia PA and Hoboken NJ, improving their live show and gaining new fans every day. Rebel Saints have been featured on several local music shows in the Lehigh Valley, PA and recented showcases for Pete Ganbarg''s new label, Pure Tone Music.

Rebel Saints music is a unique blend of rock and punk. Singer/Guitarist John Simolike lends amazing talent on vocals, the kind that is rare in rock bands today. His guitar playing sets him apart from most frontmen in the business. Steve DeMeo complements the guitar skills of John with a style all his own, weaving in blistering riffs and solos behind John and lending vocal talents of his own. Matt Mcglaughlin is one half of a stellar rythym section, and his bass skills flow seamlessly with the arrangements. The rock behind everyone is drummer Mike Fraclose. Mike blends elements of rock, punk and metal into his drumming and is a sight to see live.

Simolike forges his own unique style that sounds like a flawless blend of Boyd and Bradley Nowell of Sublime. The vocals consistently hit home with empowered delivery and ambitious moves ranging from piercing Raine Maida-like falsettos to subdued, breathy whispers. The moments [on Whiskey Breath] where Simolike verges on sounding like Jeff Buckley with his shaky falsetto are absolutely stunning. California is without a doubt the radio-hit of the album. It has a slightly different flavour from the rest of the songs with its melodic chorus, but the band oozes confidence and really shows what they are capable of. The rich guitars, smooth bass and slightly subdued vocals work together brilliantly well. The high-pitched vocal breakdown at the end of the song made this track my number one pick.
