Formed in 2004 by Drummer Michael Ryan, OVERSCENE, the Dallas texas based rock quartet started it''s journey with their debut album, THE MOMENT OF CHANGE. Recorded in May, 2007 @ Gridlock Studios, in Casselberry, Florida Overscene recruited producer Justin Thomas (DARK NEW DAY,ALTER BRIDGE) to record, mix, and master the disk. "We spent a good month tracking the record" says Drummer Michael Ryan. "We wanted to get out of Dallas so that we could really focus on the record. All we did was eat, track, and sleep for a full month".
On April 1st, 2008 Overscene released THE MOMENT OF CHANGE. The epic hard rock record that features an emotional rollercoaster of strong rhythms and sing along melodies such as "Here I Am", "Each Time I Fall", "Stems", and the acoustic ballad "Acceptance". The album continues to earn the group a very strong and respectful following worldwide.
Following it''s release, Overscene hit the road one week after the album was released with the hard-rock titans SEVENDUST,SALIVA, and BLACK STONE CHERRY and also shared the stage with the metal supergroup HELLYEAH (featuring former members of PANTERA,MUDVAYNE,and NOTHING FACE), Kevin Matisyn (former vocalist of EVANS BLUE), DOPE AND TWISTED METHOD. "The Sevendust tour lasted seven weeks. It was a really big eye opener", says vocalist J.R. Munoz". "We learned a lot from that tour. What to do and what not to do".
To this day Overscene continues to tour and make great rock music together. The mutual love for the music they create forever stands the test of time.
