CD Overview
"Over My Head" is the first release from San Francisco Bay Area pop-rock band, rebelPuppet. The 12-song CD was produced by Bonnie Hayes, who is well known for her outstanding talents as Producer, Performer and Songwriter (she wrote "Have a Heart" and "Love Letter" for Bonnie Raitt). Bonnie (Hayes) plays piano, keyboards, and sings behind Greg Biles who wrote all of the songs on this CD. Shades of new-Dylan, Mathews and Petty, color the songs of love and observation, and they rock! Three of the 12 songs are ballads, and they deliver, too!
Other musicians on the album include Kevin Hayes on drums (The Robert Cray Band) Dewayne Pate on bass (The Robben Ford Band) Marty Atkinson on mandolin, guitar, dobro and pedal-steel (Cactus Choir) Rick English on lead guitar (Lucky Dog) Mike "Pie" Fiorentino on lead guitar and electric fiddle (Viv the Band) with additional help from Darryl Anders (bass) Lia Javier and Zina Hall (backing vocals) Elaine Kreston (cello) and Steve Kirk (lead guitar). Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Chris Issak) mixed 3 of the tracks, and Steve Savage mixed the other 9. Bernie Grundman mastered.
We set out to create an album that is loaded with radio-friendly/accessible songs - that has intelligent and provocative lyrics and music - and that is like nothing else you''ve heard! We believe we accomplished just that. We love this CD!
